Walter Stahr, a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School, practiced law for twenty-five years, including seven years in Hong Kong.  He is the author of two well-received biographies, one on John Jay, published in 2005, and one on William Henry Seward, published in late 2012.  Mr. Stahr is married to Dr. Masami M. Stahr; they have two children and live in Exeter, New Hampshire, and Newport Beach, California.
