David Hepworth

David Hepworth has been writing, broadcasting, and speaking about music since the ’70s. He has launched and written for magazines such as Smash Hits, QMojo, and The Word. He was one of the presenters of the BBC rock music program “Whistle Test” and an anchor for Live Aid in 1985. He has won the “Editor of the Year” and “Writer of the Year” awards from the Professional Publishers Association and the “Mark Boxer Award” from the British Society of Magazine Editors. He is the radio columnist for the Saturday Guardian and a media correspondent for the newspaper. Hepworth is known for his bestseller Abbey Road – The Inside Story of the Most Famous Recording Studio in the World, among many others. In 2021 a major four-part documentary was created based on his book Never A Dull Moment: 1971, The Year That Rock Exploded.
